When you or your team sign up to try your own product (testing@yourcompany.com), those accounts are real users to Atlis. Mark them as test accounts so they don't skew your numbers or get your lifecycle emails.
- 1
Open Test accounts
Go to Settings → Setup → Test accounts. If your App URL or your own email uses a company domain, Atlis suggests it: click it to add it.
- 2
Add domains and addresses
Add your email domains (everyone whose email ends with one, subdomains included) and any single addresses you test with on other domains, like a personal Gmail. Up to 10 domains and 50 addresses.
- 3
Save
Click Save test accounts.
What changes for test accounts
- Users still lists them, with a Test tag, and their profile says Test account. Filter the list to Only test accounts to see them all.
- Insights, segment counts, likely to buy, likely to cancel, next best moves, revenue in Insights and the Weekly Pulse leave them out. Insights shows how many test accounts it left out.
- Owner alerts (like a likely buyer) don't fire for them, and their profile shows no suggested next step.
- Workflows don't email them, including follow-ups already scheduled. Their Slack messages and webhooks don't send either.
- They still count toward your plan's tracked users, and broadcasts, manual emails and lead forms work as before.
Testing your workflows
To check a workflow end to end with a test sign-up, turn on Send workflow emails to test accounts, run your test, then turn it off again. While it's on, those emails send and count like any other. To preview one email without a test sign-up, use Send Test under that email in the workflow.
Workflows follow a change at once. The Test tags on users, the filter and Insights update within the hour.
