SaaS revenue analytics: real MRR, and who moved it

Atlis reads what every customer actually pays from your Stripe or Paddle subscriptions and shows MRR, ARR, net new MRR, NRR, GRR, churn, LTV, quick ratio and 22 metrics for any date range, with the names behind every upgrade, downgrade and cancellation. Because Atlis also knows each customer's health and product usage, it forecasts MRR with your trials and likely cancellations counted in, splits MRR by channel and health, and ranks the next best moves to protect revenue.

How it works

How does revenue analytics work?

  1. 1

    Connect Stripe or Paddle

Paste your webhook secret once. Every subscription change then updates what that customer pays in Atlis, with seats and yearly plans counted monthly and Stripe coupons taken off.

  2. 2

    Import your history once

Paste a read-only key (it's used for the import only and never saved) to bring in today's subscriptions and 12 months of MRR. Other billing systems or a Baremetrics or ChartMogul export can come in as a CSV file.

  3. 3

See why MRR moved, every day

New, upgraded, downgraded, cancelled and came back, each with the customer's name, health, stage and cancel reason, plus the metrics investors ask for.

What you get

What's included in Revenue analytics

  • Real MRR, not estimates

From live Stripe and Paddle subscriptions: quantities, Stripe coupons, and weekly, quarterly or yearly billing turned into a monthly amount. Trials don't count.

  • Why MRR moved, with names

New, expansion, contraction, churn and reactivation for 7, 30 or 90 days, in plain sentences, biggest first, each linked to the customer's profile.

  • NRR, GRR, quick ratio and LTV

Net and gross revenue retention, quick ratio, customer and revenue churn, ARPU and LTV, worked out every day.

  • Revenue at risk

Paying customers who are at risk, gone quiet, low on health or failing payments, ranked by what they pay, with Recovery a click away for a ready-written save email.

  • Money Atlis saved you

Failed payments recovered by your workflows, MRR kept by cancel-flow offers and MRR from customers who came back.

  • Customers not in Atlis yet still count

Someone who pays but never signed up to your app still counts in MRR. They're linked to their profile on their own once your app identifies them, never counted twice.

  • Stripe, Paddle or CSV import

A one-time read-only key import with 12 months of history, or a CSV of subscriptions or monthly MRR from another billing system or revenue tool.

  • Forecast and what-ifs

A 12-month MRR forecast that adds your trials and takes off customers likely to cancel, with sliders for churn, price and new MRR, and the month you'll hit your goal.

  • Any date range, compared

7, 14, 30 and 90 days, this or last month, 3, 6 or 12 months and year to date, each against the period before, with daily, weekly or monthly charts.

  • MRR by channel, health and plan

Which channels bring the highest-LTV customers, how much MRR sits with unhealthy customers, seats per plan, plus revenue cohorts by start month.

  • Next best moves for revenue

Failing payments, customers likely to cancel, trials ending without activating and customers ready to grow, ranked by money, each one click from the fix.

  • In your Pulse and Monthly Report

Every week, what went well and what needs a look with the customers behind it. Every month, a full report with NRR, cash and your forecast.

Use cases

How founders use it

Answer “why did MRR drop?” in one look

See that two customers downgraded after their usage fell, and one cancelled over price, then open Recovery to email them a ready-written note.

Replace a separate revenue dashboard

MRR, churn and LTV sit next to lifecycle emails, cancel flows and failed-payment recovery, so the numbers and the fixes live in one tool.

Board and investor updates

NRR, GRR, quick ratio and net new MRR for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, with a 12-month MRR chart.

FAQ

Revenue analytics: questions and answers

Plan and limits

Scale ($99/mo).

Good to know
  • Amounts come from Stripe and Paddle subscriptions or your CSV import; Atlis doesn't connect to Chargebee, Recurly, Braintree or the app stores directly, so those come in by CSV.
  • The 12-month history from an import is rebuilt at today's prices; changes are exact from the day Atlis starts tracking.
  • Several currencies are reported separately, without converting them.
  • There are no peer benchmarks, expense tracking or accounting sync; cash collected is before refunds and fees.

01

How does Atlis calculate MRR?

From each live Stripe or Paddle subscription: unit price × quantity (minus Stripe coupons), turned into a monthly amount from its billing period. Active and past-due subscriptions count; trials and cancelled ones don't.

02

Is Atlis a Baremetrics alternative?

For MRR, churn, LTV and why revenue moved, yes, and it adds lifecycle emails, cancel flows, failed-payment recovery and predictions in the same plan. Baremetrics connects to more billing systems and offers benchmarks and refunds; see the full comparison.

03

Can Atlis forecast my MRR?

Yes. Revenue projects MRR 12 months ahead from your recent months, then adjusts it with what billing tools can't see: your trials at your trial conversion rate and customers likely to cancel. Sliders show what cutting churn, changing prices or adding new MRR would do, and an MRR goal shows the month you reach it.

04

Does it handle usage-based pricing and credits?

Yes, with Stripe. Metered and tiered prices count with what usage cost on each subscription's latest paid invoice, so MRR follows real usage and a bigger or smaller bill shows as expansion or contraction. One-time credit packs aren't recurring, so they count in cash collected.

05

Which metrics does Atlis track?

22 metrics for any date range: MRR, ARR, net new, new, expansion, reactivation, contraction and churned MRR, MRR growth, new and churned customers, ARPU, average sale price, LTV, customer and revenue churn, NRR, GRR, quick ratio, cash collected, past-due MRR, trial pipeline, likely to cancel, discounts and seats.

06

Do I need to import anything after connecting Stripe?

Connecting the webhook keeps every change current from that day. Import once with a read-only key to bring in today's subscriptions and 12 months of history, so yearly customers and past months are there from day one.

07

Is my Stripe key stored?

No. Atlis asks for a restricted read-only key, uses it only while the import runs and never saves or logs it. Full-access secret keys are refused.

08

Can I import from Baremetrics or ChartMogul?

Yes, as a CSV file: one row per subscription, or your MRR per month to keep your exact past numbers. Customers already paying through a connected Stripe or Paddle are skipped, so nothing counts twice.

09

Which plan includes revenue analytics?

The Scale plan ($99/mo). Growth and trial workspaces see real MRR in Insights; the full Revenue page with names and metrics is on Scale.
