Stripe integration for failed payment and churn emails
Paste one webhook into Stripe and Atlis turns your billing events into lifecycle signals. A failed payment starts your recovery email, a cancellation marks the user churned with their reason saved, and a first payment marks them activated.

What does the Stripe integration do?
Payment events become emails, with no code
Failed payment recovery
A failed invoice starts your Payment Failed workflow. When a later invoice is paid, Atlis records it as Payment Recovered.
Cancellations with the reason
When a customer's last subscription is deleted, the user becomes Churned and Stripe's cancellation feedback is saved as their churn reason.
Upgrades and downgrades
A price change becomes Plan Upgraded or Plan Downgraded, so you can thank upgraders and check in with anyone who moved down.
Abandoned checkouts
An expired checkout session arrives with the amount, plan and Stripe's recovery link when you've turned recovery on, ready for a recovery email. It's skipped if they paid after opening that checkout.

Stripe and Atlis: questions and answers
Starter or higher (or a trial).
- Atlis matches Stripe customers to your users by email, so identify users with the email they use in Stripe.
- Once Stripe is connected, the same billing events sent from the snippet are ignored, so nothing is counted twice.
- You can connect Stripe or Paddle, not both.
01Do I need to write code to connect Stripe?
No. You add one webhook endpoint in Stripe and paste its signing secret into Atlis. Atlis matches Stripe customers to your users by email.
02Which plan includes the Stripe integration?
Starter and higher, and every 14-day trial.
03Will users get two emails if I also send billing events from the snippet?
No. Once Stripe is connected, Atlis ignores the same billing events sent from the snippet.
04What happens when a customer cancels one of two subscriptions?
Atlis records a product cancelled event with the product name. The customer stays a paying user, their plan becomes the remaining subscription, and Subscription Cancelled emails don't go out. Add a Custom Event workflow if you want to email them.
