Send automated emails from your own Gmail or Outlook

Atlis sends every email to your users from your own mailbox: Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook, Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail or an email service like Amazon SES, Mailgun, Postmark or SendGrid. Emails arrive from your real address, replies come straight back to your inbox, and Atlis keeps each mailbox under a safe daily limit with a three-week warm-up, so your automated emails read like a personal note and don't hurt your reputation.

How it works

How does send from your own mailbox work?

  1. 1

    Click Connect your mailbox

In Profile & Brand → Sending. Where available, Connect Gmail or Connect Outlook signs you in with Google or Microsoft and asks only for permission to send.

  2. 2

    Or pick your provider

Gmail, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho Mail, Amazon SES, Mailgun, Postmark, SendGrid or any SMTP server. Atlis fills in the server and links to the right settings page.

  3. 3

Check your domain and send a test

Atlis checks SPF, DKIM and DMARC for your domain, sends a test email and saves the connection only if it goes through.

What you get

What's included in Send from your own mailbox

  • From your real address

Workflow emails, follow-ups, broadcasts, lead replies and emails you send from a profile all go from your mailbox, with your name. Atlis never sends them from its own address.

  • Replies land in your inbox

People reply to you, not to a no-reply address, so a check-in becomes a conversation.

  • Send permission only

Connecting Gmail or Outlook asks only to send: Atlis never sees your password and can't read your inbox. SMTP passwords are stored encrypted.

  • Daily limits and warm-up

Atlis stays under each provider's daily limit and warms a new mailbox up over three weeks: a quarter of the limit in week 1, then half, then three quarters.

  • Nothing is lost past the limit

Emails over today's limit wait and go out the next day; broadcasts send in parts over the next days. Emails still waiting after 3 days are dropped.

  • Pauses and reconnects for you

If your provider slows sends or the password stops working, Atlis pauses, emails you once and sends the waiting emails within the hour after you reconnect.

  • Domain checks

SPF, DKIM and DMARC are checked for your own domain, with what to fix so your emails don't land in spam.

  • Unsubscribe built in

Every email keeps its unsubscribe link and one-click unsubscribe headers, and clicks on your tracked links are still counted.

Good to know
  • Atlis doesn't see bounces that arrive later in your own inbox, so keep your list clean with the free email list checker.
  • Until a mailbox is connected, workflow, broadcast and test emails don't send.
  • Emails you send by hand and test emails aren't queued: if the mailbox can't send right now, you see why and can try again.

01

Can I send automated emails from my Gmail account?

Yes. Connect Gmail in Profile & Brand → Sending, with Google sign-in where available or an app password (your normal Gmail password won't work). Atlis keeps you under Gmail's daily limit, up to 450 a day.

02

Does it work with Outlook and Microsoft 365?

Yes. Connect Outlook signs in with Microsoft and asks only for permission to send. Without it, your admin can turn on Authenticated SMTP for the mailbox and you connect with SMTP.

03

Can Atlis read my emails?

No. Google and Microsoft sign-in ask only for permission to send, and SMTP is only used to send. Passwords and access are stored encrypted, and Disconnect deletes them.

04

What happens when I reach the daily limit?

Emails over the limit wait and go out the next day, and broadcasts continue in parts on their own. Emails still waiting after 3 days are dropped. Atlis never switches to sending from its own address.

05

Can I use Amazon SES, SendGrid, Mailgun or Postmark?

Yes. Pick your service and enter the SMTP login it gives you. Email services don't need a warm-up and use your plan's limit.
